Mary Ellen “Marie” Bonds, 84, of Iuka, MS, died Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, AL. Mrs. Bonds enjoyed spending her time reading, quilting, and cooking. She loved telling stories and watching the Hallmark channel. She also enjoyed the Andy Griffith Show and watching Roy Rogers. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 10, 2017, at Patrick Cemetery in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Darrell Pace. Interment will follow in Patrick Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 10, 2017 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. She is survived by one daughter, Judy Rush (Stephen) of Atlanta, GA; one son, James Bonds (Judy) of Tuscumbia, AL; one brother, Billy White (Louise) of Pearl River, LA; her grandchildren, Brittany Sockwell (Drew) and Dillon Bonds (Amanda); her great grandson, Evan “Fitz” Sockwell; and her step great grandson, Landon Sockwell; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Bonds; her son, William Bonds; her brothers, Howard White, Cecil White, Albie "Rast" White, Alvie “Little Boy” White, Edward “Boots” White, Lum White, and Abner White; and her sisters, Irene “Sis” Tigner, Lois Hammock, and Lila Highland.
