Billie Jean Holland, 85, of Iuka, MS, died Friday, March 3, 2017, at the Tippah County Nursing Home in Ripley. Mrs. Holland enjoyed homemaking activities such as crafts, sewing, quilting, and crocheting. She also enjoyed bowling, square dancing, and playing cards with friends, as well as traveling and spending time with her family. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Sunday, March 5, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 6, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Rev. Tim Hankins. Interment will follow in Mt. Evergreen Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. She is survived by one son, Keith Carden; one daughter, Debra Sheppard (Joe); four grandchildren, Jon Sheppard (Angela), Rebekah Ray, Peyton Carden, and Paisley Carden; seven great-grandchildren, Ansley Ray, Christian Ray, Claire Ray, Kaley Latch, Hanna Sheppard, Isaac Sheppard, and Jacob Sheppard; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elvie D. Holland; one son, Michael Carden; her parents, Wallace and Laura Ruth Biggs Hobbs; a brother, Clayton “Pete” Hobbs, and a sister, Faye Lowery.
