Tommy Anderson “Tom Andy” Newsom, Sr., 61, of Iuka, MS, died Sunday, January 8, 2017, at his residence. Mr. Newsom retired from the United States Marine Corps after 20 years. He loved working on anything that had an engine, building model airplanes, anything that had to do with aviation and astronomy, and fishing. Tommy was a sharp shooter and loved guns. He also had a heart of gold and loved his family. A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, MS with full military honors. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Mary Newsom; four daughters, Lisa Marie Newsom, Jennifer Brown (Michael), Tanya Taylor (Michael) and Vanessa Newsom; three sons, Tommy Newsom, Jr. (Ashlan), Daniel Newsom, and Jifferson Newsom; one sister, Wanda Crossett (William); one brother, Delmar Newsom, Jr. (Nancy); his grandchildren, Ricky Bojorquez, Catalina Bojorquez, Grace Andrade, Caroline Rooker, Colten Rooker, Cyndal Rooker, Conner Lake Manka, Michael Brown, Ashton Brown, Xavier Taylor, Alexandria Taylor, Jasmine Taylor, Ava Newsom, Oaklee Walker, Kysen Walker, and Tom Newsom. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delmar and Mary Jo Newsom, and two sisters, Patty Green and Judy Carol Newsom.
