Lois Spoon, 89, of Burnsville, Mississippi, died Thursday, December 15, 2016, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was a member of Antioch Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping, and spending time with her family and friends. Visitation is scheduled for 4 until 9 PM on Saturday, December 17 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Glen. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM on Sunday, December 18, 2016, at Antioch Freewill Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Mike Edwards. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jeremy Spoon, Kevin Spoon, Mickey Spoon, Timothy Spoon, Chris Davis, and T.J. Taylor. Cutshall Funeral Home of Glen, MS is entrusted with arrangements. She is survived by 4 sons – Gerald Spoon, Tommy Spoon (Shiela), Paul Spoon, and Carl Spoon, all of Burnsville, MS; 1 daughter – Jane Davis (Mike) of Burnsville, MS; 1 sister – Mildred White of Iuka, MS; 6 grandchildren, and several great and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Spoon; her parents, Ellis and Josie Whitaker; her daughter, Norma Taylor; two grandchildren, Eddie Joe and Tony Taylor; and her daughter in law, Marie Spoon.
