Earline Vera Corsbie Hester, 89, of Iuka, MS, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at Tishomingo Community Living Center. Earline was born on August 28, 1927 in Allsboro, AL, to Oscar and Mary Ellen Corsbie. She attended Allsboro Methodist Church and became a child of God in her teens. Her favorite passage of the Bible was the 23rd Psalm, which she taught to her daughter, Joyce, when she was four years old. She loved to sing and loved flowers, and she cooked the best fried chicken in the world, according to her family. Earline was a very humble and loving lady, who always had a gentle way about her. She was the favorite aunt to a host of nieces and nephews and was always taking care of others. Visitation is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 27, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 27, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Jerry George. Interment will follow in Allsboro Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Bobby Pennington, Bobby Lee Corsbie, Jack Corsbie, Mark Corsbie, Jerry Borden, Jr., and Adam South. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Ann Bowling (Charles) of Iuka, MS; five grandchildren, Crystal South (Adam) of Red Bay, AL, Suprina Johnson (Chris) of Tuscumbia, AL, Chris Bowling (Beth) of Dorsey, MS, Blake Bowling (Haley) of Iuka, MS, Ginger Bowling of Fulton, MS; four great-grandchildren, Ethan Johnson, Nathan Bowling, Madison Bowling, and Addison Howell; her sister, Molly Walker of Allsboro, AL; and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, her siblings, George Corsbie, Susie Aday, Mac Corsbie, Fletcher Corsbie, Estes Corsbie, Mozelle Davis, Billy Corsbie, and son-in-law, Wayne Alsup.
