Helen Mae Vaughn, 92, of Iuka, MS, died Monday, October 17, 2016, at Longwood Community Living Center in Booneville. Helen was an avid traveler. She visited all lower 48 states, some several times. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Iuka and a member of the Homemakers Club. She also enjoyed taking care of her family and feeding them her homemade chicken and dressing and her spaghetti. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Thursday, October 20, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Rev. Donny Riley. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Gene Worsham, Ray Gene South, Dan Honeycutt, LeRoy Moore, Randy Stringer, and Donnie Brown. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. She is survived by her daughter, Jina Akers (Sterling); her son, Jeffrey Zane Vaughn; grandchildren, Christina Johnston, Emily Akers, Elizabeth Akers, Jeffery Zane Vaughn, II, and Evan Akers; and her great grandchildren, Shelby Johnston, Justin Johnson, Jacob Johnston, Lilliana Adcock, and Aidan Johnston. She was preceded in death by daughter, Myra Mae Vaughn; her siblings, Jenny Thorne, Ella Marie Bonds, Zane Nunley, and Dick Nunley; and her parents, Velma Mae and Richard Nunley.
