Roy Lee McDonald, 70, of Iuka, Mississippi went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 23, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – East in Memphis. He was an active member of First Freewill Baptist Church. He was a retired home builder, and was also retired from Monotech.He loved carpenter work and mowing lawns for widows and those in need. He built bird houses and lawn furniture. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM on Sunday, September 25, 2016, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Neil Edmondson. Interment will follow in Snowdown Cemetery. Pallbearers include Kevin Peach, Jody McDonald, Jeremy McDonald, Brian Kilpatrick, Jr., William Kilpatrick, Harold Thomas, Jr., Ethan Edmondson, and Brian Kilpatrick. Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 9 PM on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Jimmie Hudson McDonald of Iuka; one daughter, Sherry Brown Kilpatrick (Mike) of Florence, AL; three brothers – Roger Dale McDonald, Johnny McDonald, and Travis McDonald; two sisters – Rita Pettus and Ruth Rose; two grandchildren – Brandy Hunt of Birmingham, AL and Carl Hingle, Jr. of Starke, FL; and three great grandchildren – Alyssa Hunt, Bradley Hunt, and Layla Hingle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Annie Louise McDonald; four brothers – Joseph, Author Lee, Ray, and Ottis McDonald; four sisters – Josephine McDonald, Virginia McDonald, Estelene Smith, and Betty Pierce; and numerous nieces and nephews.
