Betty Joyce Linton Barkley of Iuka, MS. Born December 31, 1940 and passed away May 8, 2016 at age 75. Survived by husband of 58 years Lawrence Burton Barkley of Iuka, MS. Three children: Lori Lee Barkley Robinson of Iuka, MS; Ricky Dayne Barkley of Dacula, GA; and Sandra Denise Barkley Redden of Southaven, MS. Grandchildren: Lawrence Barkley ‘Bart’ Robinson (Sarah) of Glen, MS; Megan Denise Wilson (Nick) of Madison, MS; Logan Brent Robinson of Natchitoches, LA; Caroline Igraine Barkley of Atlanta, GA; Miranda Joyce Redden of Southaven, MS. Great grandchild: Lawrence Ayden Robinson of Glen, MS. Also survived by Sister Mary Etta Barnes of Iuka, MS; Brother-in-law Ernie Tyler of Ypsilanti, MI; and Sister-in-law Glenda Linton of Germantown, TN, and many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Iuka, MS and loved her church and its members dearly. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, who were the whole world according to her. She enjoyed shopping trips especially to the kitchen outlets of Gatlinburg, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jude and Levetah (Laxson) Linton, Brother A. Leon Linton, Sister Louise Tyler.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka and will be officiated by Bro. Nathan Davidson. Burial will follow at Eastport Cemetery. Pallbearers include Buddy James, Charles Jones, John Kent, Mike Barnes, Tim Barnes, and Jeff Barnes. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 PM on Tuesday, May 10 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka.
