Gene Louis Kimberly, 87 of Oakland, TN (formerly of Iuka, MS), died March 12, 2016, at his residence in Oakland. He was a member of the Iuka Baptist Church, the Army National Guard of the United States, and the former owner of Mill Creek Boat Dock. Mr. Kimberly enjoyed fishing, reading, and gardening. Visitation is scheduled for 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 19, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 20, at the Iuka Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Jim Manley. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Alan Spain, Gary Rowland, Chuck Myers, Dennis Crowder, and Bryan Kimberly. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by three sons, Randy G. Kimberly of Indianapolis, IN, Michael L. Kimberly of Van Buren, AR, and William L. Kimberly of Oakland, TN; seven grandchildren, Robin Wilson, Adam Kimberly, Bryan Kimberly, Ryan Kimberly, Evan Bernath, Kaitlyn Bernath, and Logan Kimberly; and seven great grandchildren, Addison, Caitlyn, Skyler, Tyler, Aldina, Alexander, and Maxwell. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Inez Crowder Kimberly; his father, Ed Kimberly, and his mother, Pauline Cox.
