Charlotte Wood

Mary Charlotte Bullard Wood, 68, of Iuka, MS, died Friday, March 4, 2016, at her residence. Mrs. Wood was a member of Fifth Street Baptist Church. She was formerly employed at the Iuka Shirt Factory and Bauhaus Furniture, and also loved being the caretaker of many children over the years. Charlotte loved her church and spending quiet time reading her Bible. She also enjoyed spending time on the lake and visiting with friends. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, March 6, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 7, at Fifth Street Baptist Church, officiated by Dr. Tony Curtis. The body will lie in state for one hour prior to service time at the church on Monday. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. She is survived by her husband of 49 ½ years, Danny Wood of Iuka; one son, Kerry Wood and wife, Carey, of Spring Hill, TN; one sister, Debbie McDuffy of Tuscumbia, AL; a sister-in-law, Myrna Bullard of Houston, TX; and a grandchild, Cade Marino of Spring Hill, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, William “Bill” A. and Irene Williams Bullard; and a brother, William Alan Bullard. Memorials may be made to Fifth Street Baptist Church, or the children’s charity of the donor’s choice.
