Gaye Cole Parnell, 95, of Iuka, MS, died Tuesday June 16, at the Tishomingo Community Living Center in Iuka. She was a hairdresser for several years, as well as a homemaker, and a member of both the Eastern Star and New Salem Baptist Church. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 19, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 20, at New Salem Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Jimmy Daniel. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service time. Pallbearers include Perry White, Jerry White, Tommy Grisham, David Daniel, David Brewer, and Warren Brown. Interment will follow New Salem Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka is entrusted with arrangements. She is survived by her son Thomas C. Parnell (Denise) of Iuka, and three granddaughters, Mandy, Sydney, and Briely.
