Flora Lee Walker Bellavia, 82, of Iuka, Mississippi, passed to life eternal on Friday, May 22, 2015, at Tishomingo Community Living Center. She was born Monday, April 24, 1933 in Iuka, MS to Issac and Annie Mae Walker. After completing her formal education at Iuka High School, she moved to the Chicago area where she worked until returning to Iuka in 1977 with her husband, Joseph Bellavia. She was an avid cook and gardener, and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Iuka, and participated in the Wednesday Ladies’ Bible Study Group, sharing food, fellowship, and study with close friends. Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 8 PM on Sunday, May 24 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral mass services will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday, May 25, 2015, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Iuka, officiated by Father Henry Shelton. Interment will follow in Mt. Evergreen Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. She is survived by 4 daughters – Sharlene Grisham (Robert), Mary Childers Horne, and Kathy Childers, all of Iuka; and Patricia Bellavia Cox (Billy) of Athens, AL; 1 sister – Betty Bullard of Iuka; 8 grandchildren – Josh (Jennifer), Seth, and Ethan Grisham (Katherine); Brandon (Brandie), Chris (Brandy Barksdale), and Joey Horne (Beth); and Brantley and Bryce Cox; and 7 great grandchildren – Sara, Effie, and Emily Grisham; Damien, Serenity, Gavyn, and Kaylee Horne; and 4 step children. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, William, Lloyd, James, Herbert, and Nelson Walker; her sisters, Star Mae Williams and Lydia Walker; and her husband, Joseph Bellavia. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Iuka.
