Ann Rast Strauss

Julia Ann Rast Strauss, 72, of Forest Hill, MD, formerly of Neptune, NJ, died Monday, November 17, 2014, at Rock Springs Village in Forest Hill, MD. She worked as a civilian for the U.S. Army at Ft. Monmouth for twenty-six years before retiring in 2000. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 21, graveside at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Iuka, officiated by Rev. Aubrey Boren. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include one daughter, Sandy Wilkerson Ropel of Bel Air, MD; one sister, Inez Rast Underwood of Rawlins, WY; and three grandchildren, Danielle Ropel, Kati Crozier, and Cody Wilkerson. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Herman and Julia Mae Williams Rast; her brother, James Rast, Jr.; and a son, James “Tony” Wilkerson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
