Alvie C. Miller, 83, of Milan, TN, died Saturday, November 08, 2014, at his residence. He was of the Baptist Faith, and was a member of New Haven Baptist Church. He was a also the owner/operator of his own grocery. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, and was a member of the Milan Blue Lodge #191 F&AM. His enjoyed gardening in his spare time. Visitation is scheduled for 4 until 8 PM on Tuesday, November 11 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Glen. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Rowland Mills Baptist Church. The body will lie in state for one hour prior to service time, and it will be officiated by Bro. Randy Beals. Interment will follow in Rowland Mills Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Glen, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived his wife, Vida Ree Miller of Milan, TN; 1 daughter – Jackie Bradford Fisher of Milan, TN; 3 brothers – Larry Carroll, Ervin Ray Carroll, and Medwyn LaVerne; 2 sisters – Marlene Hawkins and Janelle Newton; 2 grandchildren – Karyn Bradford Walters and Monica; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marlon Miller and Leitha Carroll; and 3 brothers, Johnny, Frankie, and Alford Carroll, and 1 sister, Juanita Hayes.
