Joe Glynn Moyers, 77, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at his residence. Mr. Moyers was a member of the Iuka Baptist Church, and was a retired security officer. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Thursday, August 21, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 22, at the Iuka Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Gary Watkins and Rev. Jim Holcomb. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Neal Moyers, J. D. Sommer, Samuel Sommer, Greg Moyers, Lee McCord, and Jim Ramsey. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Reba Moyers of Iuka; two sons, Jeff Moyers (Donna) of Iuka, and Rev. Jon Moyers (Amanda) of Clinton, LA; three daughters, Dr. Robin Moyers of Atlanta, GA, Reba Fay Sommer (Jon) of Charlotte, MI, and Rachel McCord (Lee) of Rienzi; and nine grandchildren, Neal Moyers, Anna Kate Moyers, Jaqualynn Moyers, Ella Moyers, Jonathan Moyers, Noelle Moyers, J. D. Sommer, Millie Sommer, and Samuel Sommer. He was preceded in death by a son, Jay Moyers; his parents, Claud and Nellie Wood Moyers; a sister, Willie Fay Moyers; and three brothers, Wallace, Larry, and Kenneth Moyers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Iuka Baptist Church Benevolence Fund.
