.Keiffer Barnes, 82, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Monday, August 11, 2014, at his residence. He was born March 4, 1932 in Iuka. He was an U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired from Local 49 Painter’s Union in Memphis, TN. He loved his children, grandchildren, gardening, and watching sports. Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 9 PM on Friday, August 15 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. William Burcham. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary bearers will be Ernie Tyler, Chad Bradford, and Cody Bradford. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Etta Linton Barnes of Iuka; 1 daughter – Sherry Tate of Cordova, TN; 5 sons – Michael Barnes (Elyse) of Olive Branch, MS: Tim Barnes (Chris) of Memphis, TN; Jeff Barnes (Candy) of Iuka; Greg Barnes (Denise) of Hernando, MS; and Paul Barnes (Penny) of Iuka; a granddaughter that lived with them, Jessika George (Aaron) of Eads, TN; 5 sisters – Earlene Whitfield of Iuka; Louise Cox of Iuka; Hilda Grisham of Hito, TX; Bernice Perry of Tupelo; and Ann Barnes of Iuka; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death his parents, Earl and Lillian Woodruff Barnes; and a son in law, Gary Tate.
