Tommy G. Blackard, 76, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Sunday, August 10, 2014, at Southern Magnolia Estates in Iuka. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church, and was a retired truck driver. Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 9 PM on Monday, August 11 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Ken Garner. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include A.C. Morgan, Mike Jones, Tommy Grisham, Jerry Cummings, Will Jones, and Leslie Blalock. Honorary bearers will be Bruce Whited, Eric Smith, and Jared George. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by 1 daughter – Reneta Smith (Adam) of Iuka; 1 sister – Brenda Thomason (Earl Dean) of Sheffield, AL; 4 grandchildren – Tommy Edward Blackard (Lisa), Britney Jones (Will), Robbie Blackard, and Adam Thomas Smith; and 3 great grandchildren – Maggie Mae Jones, Maddi Jane Jones, and Kellen Blackard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Ruby Blackard; his wife, Burndeen Blackard; and his son, David Blackard.
