James Looney Roland, 81, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Saturday, August 2, 2014, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. He was a member of Patrick United Methodist Church, and was an U.S. Army veteran. He was the owner/operator of Cordova Heating and Air for 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and above all, his family. Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 8 PM on Monday, August 4 at Patrick United Methodist Church. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at Patrick United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Larry Dollar. Interment will follow in Patrick Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Maureen Roland of Iuka; 2 daughters – Monice Roland and Maurita Roland, both of Iuka; 5 grandchildren – Cory Glidewell (Nikki), Christy Glidewell, Jeremy Glidewell (Misty), Andrea Roland, and Joseph Roland; and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John T. and Beatrice Roland; two sons, James Randy and John Ricky Roland; his sister, Bonnie Rice; and one great grandchild. Memorial contributions may be made to the Patrick United Methodist Church Fund or to the Burnsville Baseball Youth League.
