Humbert D. “H. D.” Pounders, 65, of Corinth, MS, died Sunday, July 6, 2014, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Mr. Pounders was a member of Fairview Church of God. He worked for many years in the automobile sales industry, and enjoyed traveling, fishing, and hunting. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Monday, July 7, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 8, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Jason Pellizzer and Bro. Ronnie Reese. Interment will follow in Fairview Church of God Cemetery. Pallbearers include Melvin Pounders, Roger Pounders, Michael Pounders, Joshua Pounders, Luke Pounders, Kevin Mitchell, Tanner Pounders, and Hunter Pounders. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Ann Pounders of Corinth; three sons, Tim Pounders (Melissa) of Iuka, Jeremy Pounders of Belmont, and Jonathan Pounders (Cindy) of Tishomingo; three step-sons, Keith Saylors (Greta) of Tupelo, Kenny Saylors (Debbie) of Booneville, and Kevin Mitchell of Corinth; one brother, Jerry Pounders of Pontotoc; eleven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dealon and Marvie Gahagan Pounders; and three brothers, Forvis, Mel, and Noel Pounders.
