James H. “Jim” Cundiff, 68, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. Mr. Cundiff was a member of Pleasant Grove Church of Christ, and was a U. S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a lifelong firefighter, and was retired from the Cobb County Fire Department in Marietta, GA. He enjoyed fishing and helping others. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 2, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Thursday, July 3, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Ricky Fields and Craig Chandler. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Cundiff of Iuka; his mother, Ethel Rowan of Tallahassee, FL; two daughters, Brenda Michelle Shea of Tucson, AZ, and Teena Marie Collins of Acworth, GA; four sons, Jeffery Allen Hudson and Grady Eugene Hudson, both of Iuka, Christopher Lane Hudson of Rockford, IL, and Jonathan Kelly Hudson of Poplar Bluff, MO; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Helen Johnson of Havana, FL, Carolyn Carson of Tallahassee, FL, and Janice Smith of Atlanta, GA. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Frank Rowan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the North Crossroads Fire Department.
