Dorothy Ford “Dot” Gregory, 83, of Iuka, MS, passed from this life on Saturday, June 28, 2014, at her residence. Mrs. Gregory was born on March 26, 1931, in Ripley, MS. She graduated Cum Laude from the Mississippi State College for Women, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. Dot was a former school teacher, and taught at New Albany High School, Blue Mountain College, White Station High School in Memphis, and Iuka High School. She was so loved by all of her students in home economics. Dot enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with her friends. She was a member of the Iuka United Methodist Church, and was a wonderful wife and loving mother. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 30, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 1, at the Iuka United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Kerry Powell. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Richard Clark, Steve Nelson, Jackie Bryant, John Castleberry, Cliff Daniel, Ken Cooley, and Richard Bowen. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. She is survived by her husband, Ed Gregory, Sr. of Iuka. She was preceded in death by her only son, Ed Gregory, Jr., and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel L. Ford of Ripley.
