Laura Stricklen Lindsey, 87, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Monday, June 23, 2014, at Tishomingo Community Living Center. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church. Visitation is scheduled for 12 until 2 PM on Wednesday, June 25 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM on Wednesday, June 24, 2014, graveside, officiated by Bro. Ron Plymel. Interment will follow in Cypress Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers are Gary Bullard, Hosea Thorne, Pete Walker, Earl Walker, Al Lovelace, and Jimmy Ramsey. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include 2 daughters – June Pruett (Jack) of Mobile, AL; and Debbie Murrah (Mike) of Iuka; 2 grandchildren – Angie Beasley (Tim) of Atlanta, GA and LeeAnn Murrah of Iuka; and 2 great grandchildren – Autumn and Christian Beasley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Lindsey; her parents, Melvin Bryce and Alma Stricklen; and her sister, Wilma Gilliland. Memorial contributions may be made to the Iuka Baptist Church Music Department.
