Mildred Newbern Rikard, 92, of Florence, Alabama, died Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at her residence. She was a very loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be greatly missed by her friends and family. Mrs. Rikard attended the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 am on Friday, June 20, at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens in Florence, officiated by Rev. Dwayne McDuff. Interment will follow in the cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include her ex-husband, Glen Rickard, one son, Greg Rikard, one daughter, Diana (Jim) Gann, all of Florence; one sister, Cleta Rickard of Center Star, AL; two brothers, George and James Newbern, both of Florence; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Glen Newbern; her son, Ronald Rikard; and a brother, Elton Newbern.
