John I. “Jack” Conway, 79, of Tishomingo, Mississippi, died Saturday, May 24, 2014, at his residence. He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church, and was a member of the Robert G. Smith Lodge #412 F&AM. He was a retired tile, ceramic, and marble contractor after 40 years in business. He was an U.S. Marine Corp veteran, and also served as a law enforcement officer with the Jackson, Mississippi Police Department. Visitation is scheduled for 1 until 3 PM on Monday, May 26 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 3 PM on Monday, May 26, 2014, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Doug Christy. Interment will follow in Tishomingo Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jared Dawson, Kim Dawson, Kevin Dawson, Charles Tucker, and Billy Daniel. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Conway of Tishomingo; 2 sons – John Christian Conway (Nana) of Wetumpka, AL and Robert Stephen Conway of Hattiesburg, MS; 1 brother – James Conway of Laplace, LA; and 2 sisters – Joan Latham of Smithdale, MS and Mary Ann Spejeens of Madison, MS.
