Robert T. Taylor, 70, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Friday, May 2, 2014, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. Mr. Taylor was born January 28, 1944, in Colbert County, Alabama. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War where he received the Purple Heart, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Combat Infantryman Badge. He was a Life Member of the D.A.V., and loved antique cars. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Monday, May 5, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 6, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Rev. J. B. Burns. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery with military honors. Pallbearers include Carl Pollock, Harold Oliver, Sid Whitehurst, Sr., Jimmy Trussell, Scotty Grisham, and Lamar Bolton. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Tressie Taylor of Iuka; and one brother, Walter Taylor of Cherokee, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Talmage and Lottie Malone Taylor.
