Claude E. “Genie” Foote, Jr., 71, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Thursday, April 17, 2014, at his residence. He was an U.S. Army Reserve veteran. He enjoyed playing golf, watching sports, and boating and skiing. Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 8 PM on Monday, April 21 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Don Chandler, John Norris, Greg Byrom, Jim Ramsey, Dr. Darryl Ramsey, and Mack Lloyd Wadkins. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by 1 daughter – Allison Foote Townsend of Jackson, MS; 1 grandchild; his caretaker, Mary Johnson of Iuka; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, C.E. and Eloise Foote, Sr.
