Gladys Smith, 96, of Florence, Alabama (formerly of Iuka, Mississippi), died Monday, March 17, at the Mitchell-Hollingsworth Nursing Home in Florence. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Iuka Church of Christ, being its oldest member until her death. Visitation is scheduled for 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 18, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 19, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Lance Foster. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include John Sherron, Chris King, Cody Hyche, Nathan Smith, and Casey Smith. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include one son, Jerry Smith (Pat) of Dickson, TN; one daughter, Diane Sherron, of Florence, AL; seven grandchildren, Morgan Smith, Robin McKinney (Clay), Casey Smith (Tabitha), Nathan Smith (fiancé, Janey Gibson), John Sherron (Brooke), Katie King (Chris), and Jenny Hyche (Cody); and seven great grandchildren, Alice McKinney, Peter McKinney, Connor Smith, Jack Sherron, Blakley Sherron, Brayden King, and Ava King. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul (Bully) Smith. Her family would like to thank the staff of Mitchell-Hollingsworth Nursing Home, Station 2, for their care and concern.
