Millert “Milt” Holiday, 66, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Sunday, February 9, 2014, at The Meadows in Fulton, Mississippi. He was a Deacon and member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Iuka. He loved sports, and was a youth league coach. He was very active in his community, and was a local maintenance man for several local families. Visitation is scheduled for 10 AM until 11 AM on Saturday, February 15 at First Missionary Baptist Church in Iuka. The family will gather at 935 Seay Lane in Iuka prior to service and visitation time. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at First Missionary Baptist Church in Iuka, officiated by Rev. Colee R. Shelton. Interment will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery in Iuka. Pallbearers include James Eady, Anthony Powell, Melvin Cummings, Freddie Lee Thompson, Larry Thompson, and Darnell Seay. The Cherokee High School Class of 1965 will serve as honorary bearers. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by 3 sons – Quay Holiday of Atlanta, GA; Shaune Holiday (Chenelle) of Fulton, MS; and Roger Koger (Melissa) of Tuscumbia, AL; 3 daughters – Necoal Holiday Driver (Devin) of Montgomery, AL; Alanson Holiday of Fulton, MS; and Shamara Payne of Atlanta, GA; 3 brothers – Thomas Holiday (Marie) of Cherokee, AL; Henry Holiday (Ann) of Walkersville, MD; and Dexter Holiday (Carrie) of Saginaw, MI; 2 sisters – Carlean Humes of Florence, AL and Johnnie Mae Cooper (Joe) of Charlotte, NC; and 4 grandchildren – Alexis Koger, Kendra Pugh, Khi Holiday, and Layth Holiday. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hezikiah and Mary Holiday; and his brother, Charles Holiday.
