Leland Roy Smith, 56, of Burnsville, Mississippi, died Sunday, February 9, 2014, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. Mr. Smith was a member of Fairview Community Church. He was the owner/operator of L&M Discount Materials in Iuka. Leland was an avid NASCAR fan, and enjoyed fishing and camping. He especially loved to spend time with his family. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 12, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Glen. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Thursday, February 13, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen, officiated by Bro. Dewey Smith. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers include Cary Rikard, Ben Ramirez, Jason Smith, Robert Rikard, Steve Smith, and William Rikard. Ernie Smith will serve as honorary pallbearer. Cutshall Funeral Home of Glen, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Margarette Smith of Burnsville; two sons, Andy Smith of Corinth, and Ben Wells of Burnsville; two daughters, Leslie Boone (Paul) of Corinth, and Sara Wells of Burnsville; three brothers, James T. “Tommy” Smith (Nancy) of Michie, TN, Virgil Wayne Smith (Pam) of Ottawa, IL, and Dewey Smith (Elaine) of Corinth; two sisters, Rosa Spencer (Doyle) of Corinth, and Debra Smith of Iuka; and two grandchildren, Jacob Bradley and Madisyn Boone, both of Corinth. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Virginia Vonboeckman Smith; his grandparents, Clarence and Bertha Smith; a brother, Rayburn Smith; and a sister; Linda Smith. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leland Smith Memorial Fund at Regions Bank in Corinth.
