A.T. Marlar, Jr., 60, of Burnsville, Mississippi, died Sunday, September 29, 2013, at his residence. He was a member of Southwest Baptist Church. He was Mayor and an Alderman for the Town of Burnsville for many years. A private service will be held at a later date. Interment will follow in Harmony Hill Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by 3 sons – A.T. Marlar, III (Cortney) of Burnsville; Josh Marlar of New York City, NY; and Justin Marlar of Iuka; 1 daughter – Brandy Marlar of Iuka; 1 sister – Vadenda Lovelace (Danny) of Burnsville; and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, A.T. Marlar, Sr. and Ruby Marlar; his wife, Cindy Marlar; and his sister, Nelta Daily. Memorial contributions may be made to the Southwest Baptist Church Fund.
