Clay Mckee

Clay McKee, 73, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Saturday, August 3, 2013, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Mr. McKee was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Sunday, August 4, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 5, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Arthur Hardin and Bro. Dwight South. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers include Andrew McKee, Eric McKee, Johnny McKee, Lonnie McKee, Randy Stringer, Dannie Wright, Tracy Dawson, and Zach Stanford. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Lajetta Stringer McKee of Iuka, MS; one daughter, Annette Brown (David) of Iuka, MS; one son, Ronny McKee (Lisa) of Tishomingo, MS; three brothers, Whit McKee (Betty) of Iuka, MS, Ray McKee (Joyce) of Tishomingo, MS, and Billy McKee (Jeanie) of Iuka, MS; five sisters, Rivers Bates of Iuka, MS, Maderia Wilson (Albert) of Iuka, MS, Dot Timbes (Dean) of Albertville, AL, Evelyn Whitehead (J. L) of Dennis, MS, and Blondia Strachan (Willard) of Corinth, MS; four grandchildren, Andrew McKee, Eric McKee, Carrie McKee, and Hannah Brown; seven great-grandchildren, Chloe, Laken, Brilie, Lexus, Raylin, Keylan, and Halden; a sister-in-law, Helen McKee of Iuka, MS, a brother-in-law Robert Stringer (Eleanor) of Iuka, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews, as well as many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elzy Clay and Mary Lou McKee; his mother and father-in-law, Herman “Bunch” and Maurine Stringer; three brothers, infant E. C. McKee, Clint McKee, and Tulon McKee; two sisters, infant Agnes McKee and Millie Nunley; and a great-granddaughter, infant Zoey Lynn McKee. Memorial contributions may be made to the Spring Hill Cemetery Fund.
