Delilah Hughes Walker, 93, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Friday, June 7, 2013, at the Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Walker became a Christian at the age of ninety. She was a former employee of Benchmark in Burnsville. She enjoyed bingo, gardening, and tending her flower beds. Visitation is scheduled for 3:00 until 9:00 p.m., Sunday, June 9, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 10, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Roger Wood. Interment will follow in Mt. Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers include Thomas Walker, Frank Williams, Jr., Todd Williams, Joey Nix, Jimmy Hughes, and Tim Walker. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include one daughter, Diane Pittman and husband, Jackie, of Iuka, MS; two grandchildren, Crystal Pittman and husband, Bennie Huffman, and Jeremy Pittman and wife, Kim, all of Iuka, MS; two great-grandchildren, Will Pittman and Jackson Pittman; four sisters-in-law, Flora Bellavia, Betty Bullard, and Peggy Walker, all of Iuka, MS, and Bobbie Walker of Tupelo, MS; several nieces and nephews; and a nephew whom she raised like a son, Buddy Walker of Iuka, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Walker; her parents, R. O. and Elizabeth Cornelius Hughes; and three brothers, Ernest, Calvin, and J. C. Hughes. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Evergreen Cemetery Fund.
