Willa Crowell, 91, of Cherokee, Alabama, died Saturday, June 1, 2013, at her residence. Mrs. Crowell was a member of Providence Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and reading her Bible. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Monday, June 3, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 4, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Phil Dawson. Interment will follow in Morris Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jim Borden, Jackie Pruitt, William Floyd, Steve Bacon, Jimmy Bacon, and Ronald Bacon. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include one daughter, Donna Newborn (Kevin) of Cherokee, AL; one daughter-in-law, Kim Crowell of Florence, AL; two brothers, Johnny Bacon (Annette) of Alabama. and Donald Bacon of Muscle Shoals, AL; three sisters, Jewel Colburn of Central, AL, Evie Barnes of Iuka; and Beatrice Hooper (Ted) of Baltimore, MS; five grandchildren, Michelle Crowell and Johnathan Crowell, both of Muscle Shoals, Raymond Crowell of Virginia, Denise Johnson of Cherokee, and Terry McBride of Russellville, AL; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Crowell; her parents, George and Emma Bacon; two sons, Charles and Bobby Crowell; and a daughter-in-law, Jane Crowell.
