On April 17, 2013, our community lost an amazing mother, a wonderful woman, and a sincere friend. Martha Isom Lambert was born in Corinth, Mississippi, on July 25, 1928. She was a lifetime member of the Iuka Church of Christ where she was loved by all the members. She married the love of her life, Bob Lambert, in May of 1956. She began her life with Bob in Belmont where they managed the Lambert Appliance Company. In 1957, Martha and Bob moved to Iuka where Bob became the administrator of the Iuka Hospital. During her life here in Iuka she made many dear friends. While in Iuka, Martha and Bob had their first child, Lisa, and twelve years later they had their son, Robert. Unfortunately, in 1981, Martha was widowed. She always made the most of life, living life to its fullest. Her contagious laughter and beautiful smile always brightened the room. "Grandy" will be especially missed by her grandchildren, Samantha, Bryant, Rebekah, and Kyler.
