Donald N. Strachan

Donald N. Strachan, 83, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at his residence. Mr. Strachan was a member of Glendale Baptist Church, and was a U. S. Army veteran. He was formerly employed for several years at Johnson Printing Company, and later retired from Dana Corp. following thirty-eight years of service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 17, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 18, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Mark Baxter. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Clark Godwin, Jonathan Godwin, Stephen Godwin, Ben Baxter, Todd Strachan, and Tracy Strachan. Honorary Pallbearers include Roy Provins and Lloyd McBride. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Janice Annette Strachan of Iuka, MS; one daughter, Karen Godwin and husband, Mark, of Iuka, MS; three brothers, Harold Strachan of Glen, MS, Willard Strachan of Glen, MS, and Kenneth Strachan of Corinth, MS; one sister, Edith Smith of Glen, MS; and two grandchildren, Jonathan Godwin and Stephen Godwin. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharen Dee Strachan; his parents, William A. and Lillie Joslin Strachan; and a brother, J. C. Strachan.
