Geraldine Mars, 86, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Mars was a member of Mt. Joy Baptist Church. She retired from Blue Bell in Tishomingo, MS, where she worked as a seamstress for thirty-eight years. She loved sewing, and also enjoyed gardening and flowers. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 27, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Thursday, March 28, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Greg Woodruff. Interment will follow in Holder Cemetery. Pallbearers include Mike Inlow, Ricky Inlow, Jimmy Mars, Jimmy Durham, Lane Nunley, and Michael Wadkins. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Ann Tubb of Tupelo, MS, and Patty O’Neill of Iuka, MS; one son, Lloyd Shane Mars and wife, Heather, of Iuka, MS; one grandchild, Angela Skelton and husband, David, of Brentwood, TN; three great-grandchildren, Blake Skelton, Erika Skelton, and Colin Mars; and a special niece, Peggy Booker of Iuka, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd F. “Buddy” Mars; a grandson, Nick Tubb; her parents, John and Minnie Seago Odom; and twelve sisters.
