John Cummings, 88, of Iuka, Mississippi, died January 29, 2013, at Adamsville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. He was a member of Antioch Freewill Baptist Church, and was an U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled for 12 Noon until 2 PM on Thursday, January 31 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Glen. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM on Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen, officiated by Bro. Mike Edwards. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Glen, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by 3 sons – Dennis Cummings (Gaylon) of Iuka; Mike Cummings (Patti) of Springfield, TN; and Glen Cummings of Iuka; 2 daughters – Rejeana Brown (Tillman) of Iuka and Johnnie Johnson (Eddie) of Corinth; 1 brother – Nowell Barney Cummings of Hodgkins, IL; 1 sister – Frances Ellenburg of Corinth; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Cummings; his parents, Arthur Frank and Lucy Della Cummings; 2 sisters – Ruby Curtis and Laura McMeans; 3 brothers – Billy Joe, Lum, and Frank Cummings, Jr.; and his daughter in law, Angie Cummings. Memorial contributions may be made to the Antioch Cemetery Fund.
