Edna Hamm, 72, of Cherokee, Alabama, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and canning vegetables, and was well known for making the best pecan pies around. Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 9 PM on Friday, February 1 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Glen. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen, officiated by Bro. Hal Holt. Interment will follow in Morris Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers include Tommy Nunley, Eddie Nunley, Doug Nunley, Tim Wright, Stevie Orrick, and Tony Orrick. Cutshall Funeral Home of Glen, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include her husband, Donald Ray “Duck” Hamm of Cherokee, AL; 3 daughters – Donna Kim of Birmingham, AL; Sharon Frazier (Ricky) of Iuka; and Sandra Haney (Michael) of Burnsville; 1 son – David Adam Hamm (Hannah) of Cherokee, AL; 4 sisters – Louise Nunley, Bernice Wright (Carlile), Helen Epps (Leray), and Polly Hall (Larry), all of Tishomingo; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Eva Orrick; her son, Michael Hamm; her twin brother, Edward Orrick; and her niece, Lisa Orrick. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org or to the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo.
