Mackie M. Howie

Mackie M. Howie, 65, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Sunday, January 13, 2013, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Mr. Howie liked to spend time whittling and working puzzles. He also enjoyed watching western movies on TV and working on small appliances. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 17, at Airport Mission Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Perry Murphy. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for one hour prior to service time at the church on Thursday. Pallbearers include Butch Timbes, Ronnie Barrett, Hank Barrett, Lawayne Puckett, David Lambert, and Charles “Tubby” Aldridge. Honorary Pallbearers include Billy Joe Valentine and Clayton Clingan. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He was preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm and Elsie Howie, and his adopted mother, Emmogene Pace.
