David Edward Gist

David Edward Gist, 18, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Tuesday, November 27, 2012, in Iuka as the result of an automobile accident. David loved hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed mud riding and was an avid Mississippi State Bulldogs fan. Visitation is scheduled for 2:00 until 9:00 p.m., Thursday, November 29, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Glen. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 30, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen, officiated by Bro. Danny Bell. Interment will follow in South Crossroads Cemetery. Pallbearers include Matthew Walker, Edgar Osoro, Perry Grimes, Zach Waddell, Clint Smith, and Charles Gist. Honorary Pallbearers include Brian Glover and Mark Price. Cutshall Funeral Home of Glen, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his father, Raymond Gist of Iuka, MS; his mother, Sandra Gist of Iuka, MS; his grandparents, Steve and Shirley Grimes of Iuka, MS, Raymond Gist, Sr. and wife, Peggy, of Floral City, FL, and Terry and Sharen Johnson of Iuka, MS; his great-grandmother, Gaye Grimes of Iuka, MS; his fiancé’, Katelynn Seiber of Iuka, MS; one brother, Raymond Charles Gist of Iuka, MS; and a special aunt and uncle, Carolyn and Jerry Wilemon of Burnsville, MS. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Orville Grimes, Minnie and Pony Bullard, Olla and Ellen Gist, and Charles and Frankie Steele; and an uncle, Phillip Grimes. Memorial contributions may be made to the South Crossroads Cemetery Fund.
