Gladys Mae Cornelison McVay, 85, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Mrs. McVay was a lifelong member of Snowdown United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife and homemaker. Visitation is scheduled for 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 30, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 31, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Rev. Lt. Col. Robert N. Armstrong. Interment will follow in Snowdown Cemetery. Pallbearers include Todd Williams, Barry Tanner, Frank Williams, Jr., Luke Robinson, Billy Lambert, and Tommy Sanderson. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include two sons, Jimmy McVay and wife, Charlotte, of Iuka, MS, and Danny McVay and wife, Janice, of Corinth, MS; one daughter, Wanda Sanderson and husband, Larry, of Iuka, MS; one sister, Billie Cornelison Watson; four grandchildren, Eric Harris and wife, Lacy, Haley Franks, Kayla Robinson and husband, Luke, and Lovie Walden and husband, Earl; and eight great-grandchildren, Lauren Harris, Noah Harris, Kurtis Franks, Dixie Robinson, Charleigh Robinson, Clay Robinson, Kayle Klutts, and Daniel Walden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny McVay; and her parents, Matt and Eula Cornelison. Memorial contributions may be made to the Snowdown Cemetery Fund.
