Virgil Hester, 75, of Tishomingo, Mississippi, died Friday, March 30, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. He enjoyed bird hunting, fishing, farming, and bluegrass music. Visitation is scheduled for 6 until 9 PM on Saturday, March 31 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 3 PM on Sunday, April 1, 2012, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Alan Jones and Bro. Benny McKinney. Interment will follow in Burgess Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers include Andy Crawford, Danny Gattis, Shelby Hutchings, James Page, Brad Moss, and Ben Moss. Honorary bearers will be the Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Department, the Iuka Ambulance Service, and Marion Crawford. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Rachel Hester of Tishomingo; 1 son – Stan Hester of Iuka; 1 daughter – Debbie Fowler (Kenneth) of Tishomingo; 1 sister – Virginia Gattis of Tishomingo; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Ruby Hester. Memorial contributions may be made to the Burgess Creek Cemetery Fund.
