Kinsley Darwin, 17, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis. She was a member of Mt. Evergreen United Methodist Church. She was a student at Tishomingo County High School, where she was a member of FBLA, Beta Club, FCA, and the tennis team. She was a Homecoming Maid for 3 years, and was voted the Most School Spirit Award. Visitation is scheduled for 4 until 8 PM on Thursday, March 15 at Mt. Evergreen United Methodist Church. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM on Friday, March 16, 2012 at Tishomingo County High School Gymnasium and will be officiated by Rev. Robert Armstrong and Bro. Ron Norvell. The body will lie in state for 2 hours prior to service time. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Johnny Dean, Ben Williams, Ely Barnett, Zach Barnett, Preston Rushing, and Hunter Thornburg. Honorary bearers will be members of the Tishomingo County Senior Class, as well as Dustin Garland, and Logan Locke. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include her parents, Sammy and Teresa Darwin of Iuka; and her grandparents, Jackie and Burnette Bryant of Iuka; 2 sisters – Nikki Darwin Clark (Nathaniel) of Iuka and Beth Darwin Huntley (Ryan) of Jacksonville, FL; 2 uncles – Keith Bryant of Iuka and Harold Darwin (Jeanette) of Corinth; 2 aunts – Lisa Locke (Jerry) and Sarah Darwin, both of Iuka; and a nephew – McCarthy Huntley. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jay Darwin; and her grandparents, Jimmy and Mollie Darwin.
