Lloyd Franklin “Buddy” Mars, 83, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Sunday, March 11, 2012, at Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home. He was a lifelong member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 12, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 13, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Greg Woodruff. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Durham, Mike Inlow, Lane Nunley, Lucky Jones, Charlie Park, and gary Lovelace. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Mars of Iuka, MS; one son, Lloyd Shane Mars and wife, Heather, of Iuka, MS; two daughters, Joyce Ann Tubb of Tupelo, MS, and Patty O’Neill of Iuka, MS; two sisters, Ora Faye Wadkins and Annette Johnson, both of Iuka, MS; one grandchild, Angela Skelton and husband, David, of Brentwood, TN; and three great-grandchildren, Blake Skelton, Erika Skelton, and Colin Mars. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Nick Tubb; his parents, Herbert and Virgie Mars; a brother, Gerald Mars; and three sisters, Pauline Hendrix, Floy Schaffer, and Cora Mae Berryman.
