Melvin Walker, 73, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Saturday, March 03, 2012, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was a member of Rocky Springs United Methodist Church, and enjoyed fishing. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM on Sunday, March 4, 2012, graveside, officiated by Rev. Robert Armstrong. Interment will follow in Campground Cemetery. Pallbearers include Chuck Holly, Jerry Holly, Terry Hester, Anthony Robinson, Brooks Green, and Tony Green. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by 3 sons – Ricky Walker of Iuka; Randy Walker of El Paso, TX; and Gary Walker of Tupelo; 1 daughter – Theresa Green (Tony) of Tupelo; 1 brother – Frank Walker of Taylorsville, MS; 2 sisters – Beatrice Vess of Iuka; Rachel Robinson of Tishomingo; and 1 half-sister - Janice Irvin of Iuka; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Ora Walker; and 2 brothers, Reginald and Harold Walker. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rocky Springs United Methodist Church Fund.
