Leon Lomenick, 72, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Friday, February 24, 2012, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was a lifelong member of Snowdown United Methodist Church and a U. S. Air Force veteran. He also served in the National Guard. He was a musician from the age of four, and was an avid fisherman. Visitation is scheduled for 6:00 until 9:00 p.m., Saturday, February 25, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 26, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Jimmy Daniel. Interment will follow in Snowdown Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by 1 son, Richie Lomenick and wife, Dee Dee, of Saltillo, MS; 3 daughters, Debra Crabb and husband, Quincy, of Iuka, MS, Shonda Leggett and husband, Charlie, of Iuka, MS, and Tonya Turner and husband, Robert, of Kossuth, MS; 1 sister, Annette Malito of Florence, AL; 9 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Lomenick; his mother, Mae Carr Wallace; a brother, Buddy Lomenick; and a sister, Eloise Jeffords. Memorial contributions may be made to the Snowdown Cemetery Fund.
