Olivia Malone

Olly Olivia Malone, 96, of Allsboro, Alabama, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2012, at the Carrington House in Iuka, MS. She was a lifelong resident of Allsboro, AL and a member of Allsboro Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Along with her husband, she ran A. P. Malone General Merchandise until their retirement in 1982. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 4, at Allsboro Cumberland Presbyterian Church, officiated by Rev. J. B. Burns. Interment will follow in Allsboro Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church on Saturday. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include two sons, Bobby Malone and wife, Mary Ann, of Decatur, AL, and Tommy Malone of Columbia, SC; one daughter, Linda Hayes and husband, Johnny, of Cherokee, AL; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Mary Pearl Champion. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Dallas Nichols; her husband, Arthur Preston Malone; her twin brother, Oliver Nichols; three sisters, Eddie Lee Nichols, Ruth Nichols, and Canna Malone; and a daughter-in-law, Betty Malone. The family would like to thank the staff at Carrington House and special caregivers from Sanctuary Hospice.
