Susie Ellen Aday, 96, of Sheffield, Alabama, formerly of Allsboro, Alabama, died Saturday, December 3, 2011, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. She attended Allsboro Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens. She also enjoyed quilting and cooking for her family. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 4, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Fay Crowe and Bro. Perry Murphy. Interment will follow in Allsboro Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home on Sunday. Pallbearers include Terry Aday, Robin Aday, Dustin Aday, Shane Aday, Cody Aday, Trent Aday, and Patrick Bitner. Honorary Pallbearers include Dr. Tommy Draper and Dr. Ben Kitchens. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include 1 son, Eugene Aday of Allsboro, AL; 2 daughters, Linda Sue Aday of Sheffield, AL, and Margaret Ellen Gasaway of Fulton, MS; 3 sisters, Molly Sue Walker and Earline Hester, both of Allsboro, AL, and Mozel Davis of Tishomingo, MS; 29 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and 34 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dimpy Lee Aday; a son, Clifton Franklin Aday; her parents, Oscar and Mary Ellen Corsbie; and 5 brothers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Susie Aday Funeral Expense Fund at First American National Bank in Iuka.
