Ruth Pickle

Ruth Jernigan Pickle, 67, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Saturday, November 19, 2011, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was a dedicated member of Fifth Street Baptist Church where she loved working with the Children’s Church. She also volunteered at the Iuka Head Start. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. Monday, November 21, at Fifth Street Baptist Church. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 22, at Fifth Street Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Tony Curtis. Interment will follow in Sulphur Springs Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include 1 son, Joey Pickle and wife, DeLana, of Corinth, MS; 1 daughter, Lisa Dean and husband, Ken, of Iuka, MS; 1 sister, Brenda Robinson of Bethel Springs, TN; 3 grandchildren, Justin Pickle of Corinth, MS, Joseph Dean of Iuka, MS, and Kendra Dean of Iuka, MS; and 3 great-grandchildren, Jada Dean, Aidee Dean, and Anniston Tinsley-Dean. She was preceded in death by her parents, H. S. and Estelle Jernigan; 3 brothers, Wayne, Jim, and Donald Jernigan; and a sister, Joyce Jernigan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fifth Street Baptist Church or to the American Cancer Society.
