Ona Mae Hazelwood, 74, of Iuka, Mississippi, died November 13, 2011, at Carrington House in Iuka. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church, and was retired from Ripley Screen Industry. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and spending time on the front porch of the Carrington House with her friends. She also enjoyed her flowers and bird watching. Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 9 PM on Monday, November 14 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at New Salem Baptist Church. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to service time. Services will be officiated by Bro. Ron Norvell and Edmond Puckett. Interment will follow in New Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jason Lambert, Josh Lambert, Keith Puckett, Tim Puckett, Dusty Puckett, Kelly Edge, and Josh Reeves. Honorary Pallbearers include the Deacons of New Salem Baptist Church. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include 1 daughter – Tammy Reeves (Maury) of Iuka; 2 sons – Darryl Hazelwood (Shelia) of LaGrange, GA and Jeff Hazelwood (Stacy) of Iuka; 2 brothers – Sam South (Shelia) of Rienzi and Roy South (Ann) of Collierville, TN; 2 sisters – Wanda Pruitt and Louise Lambert (Roger), both of Iuka; and 4 grandchildren – Holly Hazelwood, Destiny Hazelwood, Tyler Barnes, and Josh Reeves (Chasity). She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken Hazelwood; her parents, Clester and Frances South; her sister, Della Puckett; and her brother, Delton South. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Salem Cemetery Fund.
